Religion is a big part of Indian life. India is a nonreligious democracy, but its religious identity has basically not changed in 4000 years. However, India has begun to change in some ways due to modern technology. Nonetheless, much of the countryside in India remains the same as was it thousands of years ago. India’s traditions are very strong, and they have continued despite some attempts to change them. India’s major religion, Hinduism, is practiced by 80% of the people in India. It is the largest religion in Asia and one of the world’s oldest religions.
